Time to push SAIL RSP For a Medical College at Rourkela

Its time Civil Soceity of RKL must push SAIL RSP for medical college in and around Rourkela. This should come under SAIL's CSR ( Corporate Social Responsibilities) , in the same line as Bokaro Steel Plant is doing .

Options and Suggestions
====================

1. The current IGH at Sec. 19 can be upgraded to a medical college cum hospital. This would roughly require around 75-100 Cr. budget and is easier to do.

2. Setting up the medical college and hospital in Greater Rourkela area like Banai , where it draw the raw materials. This would require at least 200 Cr. budget . However, the advantages will be distribution of health care in greater Rourkela in a fair manner.

Doing so, it will enhance the quality of health care in addition to ESIC Medical College ( if it is setup at Rkl ) within 75 KM radius area from Rourkela.


Steps to be followed
===============

1. Form a SAIL Medical College Action Committee comprising of 3-5 members including at least 2-3 localites and one from New Delhi ( We have Mihir and Preeti here who belong to RKL and are active in New Delhi for ESIC movement currently)

2. Preparation/Sending of Memorandum/Online Petition and Talking directly to Local SAIL official and also at BBSR .

3. Signature campaign from Rourkela SAIL employees and others in this regard.

4. Sending and persuing with Ministry of Industry, Labor and Public Sector , New Delhi.

5. Persuing the subject with Odisha CM on his every Delhi Visit.

6. Highlighting in media repetedly for such genuine demand as SAIL RSP is making profit now a days using Odisha's Raw materials and resources.

Other suggestions and comments are welcome.

In addition to above a "Nano technology material lab" can be setup in the NIT, Rourkela campus with their administrative control but controlled and financed by RSP, in the lines of industrial / institute collaboration in USA.

SAIL is establishing medical college in Ranchi . What about Rourkela when RSP is making a good progress and profit there ?
