Alas ! I am surprised at this and it is indeed disgusting. It is not a fuss but a good noise which was required and obvious. Perhaps few narrow minded people thought of pleasing and oiling Mamata Banerjee. I would recommend whenever any odia goes to Rourkela station next time, speak in Odia to officials who are employed there. They work in Odisha and they need to prioritize that. It seems there is a need of another BHASHA ANDOLANA in Odisha. Its been long time.

How many Odia announcments are done in other states officially ? It is a shame.

Puri is more bengali because Bengali have contributed a lot to Puri's local business particularly the shops including the PANDAs compared to Odias. The pandas think speaking in bengali would fetch them more money ( Dakhina ) from the bengali which is obvious. However, speaking , practicing and prioritizing a foreign/outside language ignoning one's own in one's own home is nothing but HINA-MANYATA. It is the Odias who are at fault.
