Thumbs up More action at Rourkela - Never giving up spirit

It seems the RTI Application response has kept on mobilising people and their never giving up spirit. I wish good luck to Rklites and the odias at Rourkela who are now talking about action and indeed implementing it practically. I wish the all the best in getting ESIC medical college done at Rourkela.

I think it is a more political kind of attention drawing effort and is no way related to ESIC Medical College. So lets focus on ESIC Medical College till its setup at Rourkela.

However, any agitation for any genuine development of any place is always welcome.

It seems they have trapped themselves into controversy and confusion. Let us assume that Mr. Singh is correct.

It says

"..He revealed that the then Chief Secretary Ajit Kumar Tripathy gave a clear proposal to Prabhat C Chaturvedi, ESIC Director General asking to consider the proposal for Medical Colleges at Bhubaneswar, Choudwar and Rourkela on 3 October, 2008..."

When initially it was proposed for Bhubaneswar , Choudwar and Rourkela, then they themselves didn't prioritize Bhubaneswar and Choudwar for the same logic that it should not be located there because of already existing medical colleges and less number of ESIC IPs. So only Rourkela left from choices.

My questions are based on the news

1. Why Rourkela was not considered out of the list after BBSR and Choudwar got disqualified for existing or enough medical colleges and hospital in and around ?

2. How come suddenly out of the blue Bolangir came into picture which was never in the initial list of proposal ?

3. How come and why they skipped Rourkela out of the list to Jump to Bolangir later ?

All these are contradictory to itself and clearly indicates what the game they are trying to play with RKLites and everyone in the state to favor the place which are of their personal convenience and not of the IPs of ESIC for whom the medical college and hospital is indeed built.

A PIL will certainly expose further these kind of stupid and non-sense arguments .

On the other hand they have challenged the RTI responses saying it is mis-leading , which is indeed interesting and talk about the integrity of RTI Commission of India and the ESIC Corporation. Lets wait for more hidden facts .

Lastly, without wasting time further and waiting for taking advantages of Political mileage in future and start playing the blame game, the department should make a fresh proposal for Rourkela and immediately start allocating 40 acres of land for ESIC Hospital and Medical College at Rourkela. This way they can regain confidence of people and appreciations. If ESIC rejects Rourkela on certain ground that must be presented in a transperent manner to the RKLites which may be acceptable to many extent than keep playing dirty politics.

Thumbs down Department of Labor trying hard to defend and counter the RTI Response.

Following are the letters received from Department of Labor in our strong response and opposition for establishing ESIC Medical College at Bhubaneshwar instead of Rourkela through RTI. Thanks to Shri Sandip Dasverma, WA USA and Tathya.in for sharing this.

Please click to enlarge it and my comments are against each letter.

ID:	19 1. The first letter talks about , GOO asking ESIC to Upgrade the existing ESIC Hospitals in all three places of Odisha. That is BBSR, Choudwar and Rourkela. Until this point Govt. of Odisha was never knowing ESIC is interested to establish a completely new Medical College and Hospitals for its IPs in Odisha.

Hence this is all together a different case , situation and about UPGRADING existing ESIC Health care facilities. And GOO recommended to upgrade ALL not just one or two . It doesn't talk Rourkela was ever proposed for setting up the NEW ESIC medical College and Hospital at all. Please read and read and read.

ID:	202. The second letter talks about the response from ESIC based on some recommendations ( Of course not based on the first letter and we don't konw what recomendations those could be ) by GOO, to establish entirely new Medical College and Hospital asking for 25 Acre at Bhubaneshwar . What we need is the corresponding letter from GOO based on which ESIC sent this letter.

ID:	213. The third letter talks about Bolangir being not considered for the Medical College by ESIC due to the obvious reason of only 165 IPs and the same logic for which we are fighting for Rourkela. This letter contradicts and counter the ESIC RTI Response and talks about some letter/proposal ( Not provided and we don't know what kind of letter is that ) has gone from Govt. of Odisha to ESIC about Bolangir.

Since the letters are BROKEN PIECES from different situations and context it is hard to match against the RTI responses and understand the SEQUENTIAL FLOW of the situation.

Conclusion : These letters no where talking about Rourkela for the proposed location and getting rejected by ESIC.

Sir i appreciate the great job done by you.But i want to ask the state govt that whenever we demand any xyz for Rourkela they make sure that the same should be established somewhere at the BBSR region.I dont know what problem do they have when something good is about to happen at Rourkela. The state govt politics makes things go worst when they demand the same at BBSr region. How many times do the govt has asked anything to be setup at Rourkela while its being done at BBSR.One such example was when NITR was about to become an IIT.The state govt politics again opposed the move.It makes me feel that the people at Rourkela and nearby areas are fools and are taken for granted. If this is real then please stop this kind of approach.

Mr. Alok
Thing is that we Rourkela peoples are not aware of social involvement . we are only look behind our family and upto our professional.very few peoples are participant in develpment process(Rourkela region). see , still now there is no unite of our political peoples for esic medical college in Rourkela.there no mega strike for esic medical college. say how many Rourkela peoples are giving slogan favour of Esic medical college . If we might change out attitude that can go favour of Rourkela.
