Thumbs up Reasons for negligence of Rourkela by Railways

The local daily SAMAJA has repeatedly attributed the negligence of Rourkela by Railways due to SOFT VOICE AND POOR LEADERSHIP.
It should be noted that Rourkela Junction not only caters to Rourkela City but also to the Greater Rourkela Metropolitan Area comprising of nearby towns of Rajgangpur,Biramitrapur,Bisra etc. and other places like Bonai,Bargaon and some places in Kendujhargarh district. Hence Rourkela is the need for about 15 lakhs people of Eastern Sundargarh and some parts of Keonjhar districts.

Many of the trains that originated from Rourkela in the past have been either terminated or have been extended

Howrah-Rourkela Express (Howrah-Koraput Samaleswari Express)

Howrah-Rourkela Ispat Express(Howrah-Titlagarh Ispat Express)

Rourkela-Bhubaneswar-Puri Tapaswini Express(Hatia-Puri Tapaswini Express)

Howrah-Rourkela Shatabdi Express(Howrah-Tatanagar-Barbil Janshatabdi Express)

Patna-Rourkela Express(Danapur-Durg South Bihar Express)

Rourkela-Koraput-Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express(Koraput-Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express)

Rourkela-Jharsuguda-Nizamuddin Link Express(Cancelled)

Rourkela-Jharsuguda Passenger(Cancelled)

Biramitrapur-Rourkela Passenger (Cancelled)

The list is endless

The time has came to make a vigorous stand on this issue so that never in future Rourkela would be neglected by Railways
