   Centrally funded IIIT has not been finalized yet. However the most vouched venue is Berhampur.

   Please try to have it in Rourkela. Private agencies please take the lead

    Well from the above comments pls stop fighting with bbsr u ppl shd be united. Recently stpi was opened in rkl. Bbsr n rkl has many common problem no international airport no multiplex infact the railway station of bbsr is too small. Center is neglecting the state. As far as hospital stilll a guy living in bbsr has to go to ctc scb. Esci hospital has not yet started in bbsr.

      @Dev – I don’t know who misguided you with the information that STPI was opened recently at RKL ? The STPI was opened back in 2001-2002 in RKL for just sake of name and take political mileage. There is hardly any STPI quality kind of software company at RKL. It is more than 10 years of STPI RKL. The result is in front of us and I don’t want to elaborate on that. So it was just an eye-washing effort for RKL by the State Govt.

      It is wrong to say “Center is neglecting State”. In fact due to narrowness and short-sighted visions , our politicians have no idea what they should do with the funds allocated for Odisha by central govt. unless is meant for the capital. For example, funds allocated for KBK is unutilised and 60% fund going back to the center. Same is for other districts as well. It is our incompentent and incapable polticians, policies and failure in execution have neglected our own people , districts and state. Lets come out of this blind believe “Center is neglecting state”. Lets stop politics and accept the facts/mistakes and fix it or improve it. At the same time blame game also won’t work either blaming the State or Center.

      Regarding ESIC, the case is in Odisha High Court and we are waiting for the hearing.

    Sorry 4 the wrng timeline. But frankly speaking as far as software is concerned all the it project in odisha r going slow or are on hold even in bbsr. Major it companies had major losses in last few years. Rourkela certainly needs more. But frankly speaking the things have improved in kbk region jharsuguda area anugul area sambalpur and sundergarh has seen a lot of urbanization….it may not be the best but things has improved i guess another major thing is there any beter altrnative to the current gov?

    Welcome to rourkelacity.com.Its nice to see more and more people are visting the site and atleast going through the page just to see where our city stands.Well i appreciate what all you wrote till now,however we are not fighting with BBSR.We have concerns with the state govt to be honest.We dont mind where BBSR stands today or 10 years down the line.But where do other cities like RKL stand thats our focus.Developing a certain place by neglecting other is not called an all round development which our honorable CM keeps saying for the past 8 years.For example funds of KBK are being diverted to erect fly over at rajmahal square at BBSR.Even i dont believe but somehow there my be something fishy which is nowadays named as scam.ESIC hospital was never supposed to be at BBSR ..it was suppose to be according to the but not according to the people like you and me.Hospitals meant for poor should be made at a place where poor reside.This we kept on reminding the state govt since 3 years but govt never pay any heed to our request.Finally we have to knock the doors of the high court.There are so many things to discuss but time is less.You should go through this site regularly and know about the facts.We dont mind BBSR developing but if you are spending 100 on BBSR spend atleast 50 on RKL.Thats what we mean to say !

    Esic is a central goverment project??? So is it not that center has to decide the project location?? By the way as far as a personal point of view esic should be in rourkela as aiims is coming up in bbsr. I heard hitech is also coming up in rourkela?? Mcl is seting up an hospital in kbk, i went through the news papers clips in the net and found that many saying geting land in rkl is bit though?? Y dnt u start a page in facebook 4 this cause may be it myt help. Ya i hail frm bbsr alok rajmahal fly over is being constructed from ages now work is too too slow. Hope that bbsr wud some day become like hyd and rkl like vizag.

    The center has already made clear on its stand.Its upto the state govt regarding the hospital location.A RTI was filed long time back.a copy of that can be found on this site.So as per the RTI the center has made clear that the state govt will decide for the location.On the other hand the state govt gave a lame excuse that if the center dont have issues we can shift ESIC project to RKL.Now as usual the blame game started.Forget the ESIC the BPUT got a satellite office at BBSR with all major functionaries ..I guess we can have the same for utkal univ.Cant we?And yes we are fast becoming another Bengal where just Kolkata gets the major chunk.
