   It is an welcome efforts for development of Rourkela. Airport is an utmost important for International and Indian Investors to invest at Rourkela.We understand GOI will take it up seriously.

   Both seems to be very good initiative which will make rourkela as one of the most desirable place for any kind of establishment after capital.
   But most important thing is to execute the ideas within a stipulated tome limit.

   I strongly agree to what Situn says. Sufficient pressure,in the form of mass rallies and others are needed to develop our nearer and dearer Rourkela, else the management won’t contribute even a single paise towards the development of this city.

   Hello all,

   What happened regarding the introduction of a dilay flight from Kolkata to RKL ?
   Seems the officials again handed a lollipop to the innocent people of Rourkela.We need to keep on raising the issues frequently like we are doing regarding the railway division and ESIC.BPUT should be raised as well frequently.I dont understand why the CM is not willing to do any development at RKL when he knows that this is the only city of Orissa which has enough potential to be one of the best cities of India or is it his fear that it might threat the growth of BBSR.Mr CM learn something from the CM of Gujrat.Atleast the CM of Gujrat is doing a dvelopment which is actually called all round development.

   Yes Alok Sa babu , that was a mere attemp which our so called biased Govt. took to deceive the people of RKL n RDF as well. That was juz to distract the citizens from the ESIC N BPUT issue. U know 1 thing a 75Km long Ring Road has already been started at BBSR but shamefully the under construction 4 laning of UDIT NAGAR – PANPOSH n HANUMAN VATIKA by pass is yet ” under construction”. Something like the rail roko strike is needed to raise the eyebrows of the CM towards RKL . it’s for sure that we r not gonna get anything from this self centered Govt . rather we need to snatch those n that too consistently otherwise RKL-KOLKATA flight service is a big example in front of us.

   yes it is very very important to have a airport in rourkela. comunication is very important to develop the city. now nobody is going but if it will be started then many people will use the flight from/to rkl. people coming from abroad (indians and foriegners) are facing lot of problem to reach rkl. so pls make it happen.

    Airport is a must ..
    Although not as developed as bbsr, Rkl has the highest per capita income of Orissa…
    So, people ‘ll surely go for the airport if it starts functioning…. Atleast flights 2 nearby airports like bbsr,kolkata,ranchi,raipur is needed ..
    But the main fact is that who ‘ll do the job ??

    And what i think is that Orissa Govt. ‘ll never support Rkl proper developmnt nor will evr pay huge fr it.. So, lets better upgrade things instead of building new things.. which ‘ll be both cost effective as well as give a developd logo 2 rkl.. The foll thngs should me made focussed on..
    1-The D.A.V. pond should be cleaned and made a gud boating spot with other activites.. It ‘ll even add 2 source of income + giv a landmark 2 rkl like the Mumbai-Worli sea link.
    2-Upgradation of Cinema halls,although not multiplexes but clean theatres so that even high class people start coming there..
    3-Building of hotels in greater rourkela or the ring road suburbs instead of main road which is already very conjusted and can never add beuty 2 the place.. Even if The Taj or Hyatt builds in, dey can never make that area beautiful.

    not only plan it should be implemented rkl deserves development at par with bbsr govt. should not only look for bbsr. rkl should be promoted to become a tire-2 city

    firstly govt. should go a full fledged airport in the city , a world class university and many more are there ,our govt. should take lessons from other state how to develop 2or3 cities at a time even jharkhand has two emerging cities, jamshedpur previously it considered at par with rkl now look at it,it is far ahead than rkl now

    Daily, many people come to Rourkela by train and Rourkela is one of the main station also. This is the only means to come Rourkela. Once airport will be made, many people will be benefited by AIRPORT.

    the following demands should be fulfilled immediately to convert RKL into tier_2 city: fullfledged airport; metropolitan university; ESIC medical college & hospital; SAIL engineering & medical institute; multiplexes; city-bus facility by govt of odisha

    we follow up everything, but any one checked any train running between our beloved rourkela to New Delhi?
    ans: no trains
    What about 5 lakh peole think theirselves?
    Even our beloved MP & MLA had no concern about our minimal reqirement…

    I Further request all citizen of Rourkrla & suburbans that make some great movement to get our rights….
